TRUCK V. PEDESTRIAN AUTO VERDICT: DEFENSE VERDICT IN AUTOMOBILE V TRACTOR-TRAILER CASE

Valentin, et al. v. Hamilton Transportation Services, et al. (US Dist. Ct. Central No 5:16-cv-01856): On February 26, 2019 a defense verdict was awarded against Plaintiffs Norma Navarro and Waldemar Valentin who alleged that Fred Hamilton negligently caused an accident by parking his tractor-trailer on the shoulder of the 15 freeway. Plaintiffs alleged that Hamilton illegally parked his tractor-trailer on the side of the freeway which resulted in them getting into a catastrophic accident that caused traumatic brain injuries to both Navarro and Valentin. Defendant argued that plaintiffs caused their own accident. Valentin, the driver behind the wheel at the time, later pled guilty to DUI. Plaintiffs were represented by The Law Office of Terrance Jones.
