Healthcare Company Agrees to $2 Million Settlement to Resolve Wage and Hour Class-Action Case

Tiffany Soliman, et al. v. Satellite Healthcare Inc., et al. (Santa Clara Super Ct No. 21CV387218): On Jan 8, 2025 defendant Satellite Healthcare Inc. agreed to the terms of a $2 million settlement to resolve the claims brought forth by lead plaintiff Tiffany Soliman, a dialysis technician previously employed by defendant. Plaintiff was terminated by Satellite Healthcare in October 2020, whereupon plaintiff filed a wage and hour class action case, alleging failure to pay lawful wages; failure to pay overtime; failure to provide meal and rest periods; failure to reimburse employee expenses; failure to timely pay wages during employment and failure to timely pay provisions. Defendant denied all allegations prior to agreeing to the settlement. Plaintiffs were represented by James Hawkins APLC. Defendant was represented by Epstein, Becker & Green PC.
