City and County of San Francisco Agree to $7.5 Million Settlement To Auto Accident Case Caused by Public Works Employee

Merrill Beth Ferguson v. City and County of San Francisco, et al. (Los Angeles Suer Ct. No. CGC-20-587638): On Mar 7, 2023 the City and County of San Francisco agreed to the terms of a $7.5 million settlement to resolve the claim filed by Merrill Beth Ferguson, a pedestrian who suffered significant bodily injury when she was struck a truck driven by a Public Works employee. Plaintiff alleges that while crossing the street in San Francisco, she was struck by an F350 truck driven by public works employee Paul Snow, resulting in her sustaining a litany of injuries including multiple fractures, a dislocated jaw, three broken ribs, tongue lacerations, lost teeth and potential traumatic brain injury. Defendants denied all allegations prior to agreeing to the settlement. Plaintiff was represented by Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger.
