Loc Khuu, et al. Chang, et al. (San Francisco Super Ct. No. CGC-20-583214): On June 15, 2021, defendant George Chang agreed to the terms of a $9,000,000 settlement to compensate plaintiff Loc Khuu for the injuries he sustained when he was struck by plaintiff’s car. Plaintiffs alleged that defendant acted negligently while attempting to parallel park his Mercedes SUV when he inadvertently hit the accelerator instead of the brake, surging his SUV onto the sidewalk and striking Khuu, resulting in traumatic head injury. Plaintiffs sought recovery for loss of consortium and negligent infliction of emotional distress. Defendant denied all allegations. Plaintiffs were represented by Walker, Hamilton & Koenig LLP.
