John Osuna, et al. v. Neutron Holdings Inc. (San Francisco Super Ct. No. CJC-19-005044): On July 13, 2021 defendant Neutron Holdings Inc. agreed to the terms of an $8.5 million settlement to resolve a wage and hour class action matter. Plaintiffs alleged between 2017 and 2020, they were hired as “Juicers” to collect, charge and redistribute Lime vehicles, a business that rents out electric scooters, moped and bikes through its smart phone application. Plaintiffs alleged that they were misclassified as independent contractor rather than employees and brought their action under the California Private Attorney General Act. Plaintiffs were represented by R. Rex Parris.
