Featured Truck v. Pedestrian Settlement
Marlow Berg v. City of San Diego. (San Diego County Super Ct. No. 37-2020-00006035-CU-PA-CTL): On June 2, 2021, defendant City of San Diego agreed to the terms of a $900,000 to compensate plaintiff Marlow Berg for injuries she sustained when her vehicle was struck by a San Diego Fire Engine. Plaintiff alleged that the driver of the Fire Engine acted negligently by failing to use reasonable judgment when he ran a red light at 25 miles per hour, striking her vehicle and crushing her foot and ankle as a result. Plaintiff further alleged that the injuries she sustained prevents her from being able drive or travel, and that she can barely walk. Defendant denied all contentions. Plaintiff was represented by Diedrich & Associates.-
